Chaffinch Press is an independent publisher of poetry and literary fiction, based in Dublin.
The press grew out of The Blue Nib, established in 2015 as as an alternative platform offering a voice for talented writers, both established and emerging, across the globe. The magazine, setting a high standard for poetry, fiction and non-fiction, is a beacon for breakout writers globally and boasts a monthly audience in excess of 20,000 readers.
Chaffinch Press now offers the same commitment to authors in the poetry and literary fiction space. Traditionally it is very difficult for marginal or emerging working writers to have their work seriously considered by established publishing houses and even many of the smaller independent ones.
Our mission is to recognise and promote literary talent, empower authors and producing high-quality, market-facing books for an international audience.
We are proud to include award-winning, as well as breakout writers and poets among our authors.
Chaffinch Press is an independent imprint overseen by Dave Kavanagh, managing editor of The Blue Nib, and is supported by a dedicated editorial and graphic design team. Print and e-books are professionally marketed, maximising the author’s return. All titles are distributed worldwide through Ingram and are available through wholesalers to high street retailers as well as through Amazon, Barnes and Nobel and other leading online market places. All books are also listed on Chaffinch Press’s own online bookshop.
